Buffet lunch

The branch has enjoyed a successful year of fund raising. Although only a small branch it makes a disproportionately large contribution to the RNLI. At the coffee morning in October last year, for example, it raised the magnificent sum of £1,551. Part of this sum was the result of the efforts of members of the branch who had spent time outside supermarkets in the area with collection tins and selling raffle tickets.
As a gesture of thanks the Chairman and the Committee invited members who had provided such valuable active support to a buffet lunch at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa. The lunch was greatly appreciated. It provided an enjoyable social occasion which enable members to get to know each other better in an informal social context.

AGM
1 March 2006
The AGM saw some changes among the Officers and committee members. The retiring Officers were Eileen Herrod (Secretary), John Long (Treasurer) and Christine Long (Press Officer). Alma Hilliard retired from the committee. The incoming Offiers are Jill MacGregor (Secretary), Barry MacGregor (Treasurer) and Pam Cowlishaw (Press Officer).

This was a new event for the branch. It was less successful than hoped because there were a number of competing attractions on the same day. We intend to try again in 2007. The receipts were £95.07
